Guide
Which HYROX division for your first race?
Every division runs the same 8 km and the same eight stations. What changes is the weight, and how many of you share the work.

| Division | Who does the work | Weights | Good first race if… |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open | You, all of it | Open weights | You want the full race at standard loads. |
| Pro | You, all of it | Heavier (Men Pro: 202 kg sled push) | You've raced before or lift heavy. Rarely the right first race. |
| Doubles | Two of you share stations, run together | Open weights for most teams | You want company and a lighter station load. |
| Relay | Four of you, 2 km and 2 stations each | Open weights | You want a short, hard taste of the race. |
Our take for a first race
If you want the full experience, race Open. If the idea of 100 wall balls alone is what's stopping you, race Doubles with a friend: you still run all 8 km, but the stations are shared. Pick Relay if your group just wants to try it. Leave Pro for later.

Questions
What is the difference between HYROX Open and Pro?
Pro uses heavier loads at every weighted station. Men Pro pushes 202 kg on the sled versus 152 kg in Men Open; Women Pro races the Men Open weights. The running and distances are the same.
Should I do HYROX Doubles or Singles first?
Either works. Singles Open gives you the full race; Doubles halves the station work while you still run every km, which many first-timers find less daunting.
